Welcome back from Spain Benny

Well I have had a few hours sleep now so I will write what I had trouble typing during the party because the internet connection was really choked and it was hard to stay connected sometimes.
Sundown 2008 was the first demo scene party that I have been to for 17 years, I really didn't know what would have changed but I was really pleasantly surprised to see that the old feeling was still there.
When I got to Budleigh I found it to be a really peaceful village / small town, the venue is really perfect for a party of this kind of size, I guess that there were around 60 - 70 sceners there alltogether.
There was enough space for everyone to set up their systems, as far as I am aware, no gear was stolen, there were internet hubs in the gaps through the desks so that those who were having problems with the Wi-Fi could plug straight in.
Everything was kept clean and tidy, there was free tea and coffee in the venue, there were fridges and cooking facilities available (we all had use of the kitchen).
Even better , there was a nice atmosphere at the venue, rc55 couldn't have been more welcoming than he was, in fact he was a really great host along with waffle who kept things moving along.
The comps were fun too, there were a few gaffs with some demos that wouldn't work first time, but that only added to the atmosphere

It was great to meet people there and even better to see some folks from here going along

I will definately be attending Sundown next year, it's a small party and it has it's quirks but there is a really great atmosphere and the organisers really do go out of their way to make sure that everyone enjoys the party.
Definately reccommended and I'll be entering the oldschool comp next year and the newschool demo too probably

Hopefully we can get more members from here along to the next one
