Heroes
« on: October 02, 2008 »
Hi there, should of started this when the first season of Heroes was first introduced to British shores. As now they have just aired last night ( Wednesday ) on BBC2 @21:00 the third season called "Villains". Which I thought was very good for the first chapter. Better than the previous seasons. Season 2 I thought was ok, but was concentrating too much on the Patrelies.

I also saw the Heroes: Countdown show, which was for the American Premier of Season 3 and presented by cast members, and had behind the scenes talk, also a little bit on the story, and look backs on previous seasons. I didnt realize there were that many odes to Star Trek; obviously I knew that Ando and Hero talked about Spook and did the Vulcan Sign. but there were other interesting facts too.

I wondered if there's anybody else who's a fan or watches Heroes here?

I'm not a huge Heroes "Know it all" Fan, but I do like the show, and so it would be interesting to find out other info and tit-bits on it.

Cheers and save the cheer leader,
Clyde.

I don't know about heroes on the telly Clyde but I can think of two that I know very well.

My mother is one of them, she came and spent a week here when I came out of hospital until I got used to my crutches, the other one is Mel who has to do so much now.

She comes home from work after getting up at 5am to take care of Jacob, does everything for him and me and then goes to sleep because she's so tired out.

Dunno what I'd do if I was still living on my own.

Shockwave And Family, thats really great to hear. I know exactly what thats like, as I've suffered from a very fatal illness, my family comming to see me everyday in hospital helped, my Dad who I haven't seen for many years came over. And it isnt until you suffer from something major that you realize who your heroes are.

For those who've watched the Heroes TV programme, what's your verdict / experience of the series?

I just started watching at the end of Series 2, so I'm not sure what's going on.

There was the virus which was going to wipe out all be the strongest, but that was destroyed. The guy who wanted to release it was about 400 years old and claimed nothing could kill him - a bit like a Captain Jack Harkness Jr. - but he ended up being buried by the guy who can stop time.

There was another guy who apparently had lost his powers, but he injected something into himself and claimed to be "back", and started to move a can across the street in a Jedi Force stylee.

Fast Forward to the start of Series 3, and the guy who came "back" is now some sort of brain surgeon. Without an anaesthetist. Nice.

Adam was the guy who was 400 years old. If you'd seen the beginning of Season 2, youd see how he started and he had a different name, and then with a surprise twist ended up.

The guy who can control time is called Hiro.

And the guy who lost his powers and wanted to regain them, is called Sylar ( real name before turning bad, was Gabriel )

If they clone Hiro, they should call it "Hiros".

Hiro And Ando are my favourite character pairings; remind me somewhat of a young Laurel And Hardy, but a bit more clued up with the times.

Season 3, is looking to be building towards something very cool, alot of twists and turns, and also new powers to exisiting characters.
