I've got a nokia 6300, and while it can play mp3 files, the UI is useless, you basically pick the file to play and it plays it.  So far as I can see there's no playlists or albums or anything (am I wrong?)

Are there any free mp3 playing apps I can install on this phone that work a bit better than the built in?

Is it an S60(Symbian + java) series or an S40 (java limited)?

It's just S40.  It doesn't matter too much, I've since found the media player isn't *that* bad, but it still won't organise by folder...it wants to look in the id tags...
