Nice New Browser!

I'm looking at the site with Google Chrome now, I downloaded it to make sure that nothing was broken with it.

Is anyone else using google chrome yet? It seems really lightweight and renders text better than firefox I think.

mhhh.. i havent tried the google browser yet and i think i dont really want to try it... google seems to be a big oracle and collecting more and more datas about everybody and expand his market position...  i like and use google search engine myself but due fact of monopol, and personally very good expierence with firefox and its great extensions, i will still continue use firefox...

Oh I love Firefox too, don't get me wrong but I have to be honest and say that Google Chrome seems very, very good. Especially as it's a beta, I've run loads of stuff in this browser already and had no problems.

Google is a company that I like I think.

I trust them about the same as Mozilla even though Google are undeniably expanding rapidly.

I've been using Chrome for quite a while now.  It has a few bugs, the worst of which is if you are downloading something and close the last Chrome window it cancels the download without a warning.
Other than that, I like it quite a lot.

Ja. Had a quick look at Chrome. Beside the fact that it is still buggy
and BETA it looks quite nice.

However, there are so many useful extensions I use for FireFox - so
I simply cannot miss it.

I can't use chrome since I'm using windows 2000 :S but yeah, it seems pretty nice

Does someone heared about the japanese lunascape browser, which seems to be very popular their since beginning of 2001 and which is now available in other languages too. I havent tested it yet. Atm i am not sure if the browser if opensource or closedsource... however, maybe i will take a look to this browser and test it... even i dont really thrust products from china, japan, russia...

I hadnt heard of Lunascape before Vain

There is not really much serious competition for firefox and internet explorer. Lunascape seems to have quite a lot of compatibility with firefox plugins though..

Anyone using it?

so, i have d/l and tested the lunascape browser... the first thing i really dislike, while installing it d/l some MBs like the gecko rendering engine... why the hell, does a program need to d/l something (any components), while installing? (i really hate this!)

After installing, the GUI looks quite simpl and has easy ordered icons/buttons, like any other browser (FF is my favourite). On the first start you will be asked what rendering engine you would like to use...  (IE engine, gecko (FireFox), or Safari by apple)... i just tried safari because i use FF as standard browser which comes with the gecko engine, so i dont need the same engine with just a changed GUI... due fact some press news told the safari engine will be faster as IE and FF, i used the safari engine too... my test with two private sites and this forum was enough... showing this forum was here (for me) a lot slower as using latest FF... So it was just a small test to see and use this japanese browser, which seems to be not OpenSource! Do you know what this browser is doing in the background or something? Sorry, i will still continue using my favourite FF browser, which is OpenSource too
