This challenge has been a really fun one :)

Relsoft, who some of you know quite well gave me the idea to run a LED challenge when I was chatting to him one day.
Relsoft, sadly has not been feeling very well and my only regret is that he was not able to participate this time, get well soon mate.

Thank you to everyone for the nice entries! They have been excellent fun to watch, some great ones here and it's nice to see new faces entering the comp.

Thank you so very much for supporting the challenge :)

These challenges along with the code help that is available from all you great guys it the reason that dbfinteractive is still going strong. As always your fair play and helpfulness have made the challenge a doddle to moderate.

Now those great entries could do with some votes :)

A brief summary of each entry can be found below.
PLease do take the time to download and run them, they are all worth it!

Vain has created some excellent sigs for the winners!
You'll love them.

Led On Led Fail.

By Optimus.

Optimus gives us a treat with his raycaster, featuring several well known and well loved effects, texture mapped onto the walls of the maze :)

All rendered with a nice LED display, some of them are broken (in the name of art).

Cubesque

By Hezad.

This is Hezad's first entry into one of the coding challenges and it displays a 2d led matrix which contains a spinning, shaded  cube while 3D stars zoom into the screen behind the cube.

Ledmania

By Ninogenio

This entry has several effects, a large sine scroll is constant throughout the demo, as well as some polar firewords and eventually 3D cubes drift down behind the scroller. The scroll is extruded to make it easier to read and a fast blur routine is added to make the LEDs look more authentic.

LED

By Littlewhite

Even though this entry is all over with in a few seconds, it nevertheless contains a few parts :) A splash screen is displayed, then after some nice looking transitions we get a scroll routine. Another first time entry, hats off to you Littlewhite :)

Cubes

By Hellfire

After watching this Pixelshader 3.0 marvel about 5 times I thought, well it's a simple concept. LED's contained in cubes, but the execution is astonishingly good with refracted light, subtle textures and glowing authentic LEDs that pulse in time to the excellent choice of song.

LEDTronic

By Mr. Va!n

A nice tribute to LED's here, some pictures of girls and LEDs are displayed along with some classic demo effecs, such as textured tunnels, 3D floors and plasmas, tastefully put together with a good song choice that doesn't distract from the show.

1.22% Led By God

By Praecor.

Praecor admits that he didn't spend long coding this entry, however don't let that stop you looking at it. It has a look that is different from all the entries with some gritty filters being applied to the graphics. The music is really atmospheric and composed by the coder too. There are several scenes in this demo, including some LEDs at the end. Nice one Praecor :)

Winter Billboard

By Shockwave.

A reflective 3D floor with a scrolling LED matrix placed on it gets snowed on while the camera moves around the scene.
