Awesome robot technique for the millitary

i have read something on the net about a robot technic for the millitary and so i searched for infos and found a very impressive and amazing video about this roboter! Its technique and how awesome this robot works is really damn impressive but on the other side i am really shocked about this technic too! That's pretty cool how it keeps it's balance on ice, did you notice that once it had slipped that it seemed to change direction and forget which way it was heading?

I don't know what they'd use something like this for but for me it goes to show how difficult it is to emulate the things that humans take for granted like walking.

yes indeed seing that thing walking makes me think of how far till we see tincans walking like the i robot movie as everyday use appliances.

it's amazing how close it's walking is to human walking and the sense of balance too.

At times I thought I was watching two people carrying a big box, but indeed it does appear to be a mechanical dog of some sort.

Forget Aibo, I'm getting one of these when the price drops.

It could also double as a mode of transportation. Just don't take it onto the ice, or near somebody who might kick it.

In the lower gravity of the moon and mars, I'm guessing this thing could run really fast. Dust in the joints might be a problem.

Back on Earth, it won't eat Shockwave's lunch, just give him a big electricity bill.

I just feel that if I had a gun laden robotic dog that didn't fall over on ice then my life would be a lot better somehow.
