zawran's demos
« on: August 07, 2009 »
All my demos can be downloaded from this page: http://zac-interactive.dk/blog/?page_id=95

Some demos requires hitting the space key to move onto next part, some requires hitting the escape key. Unfortunately I wasn't really consistant when it comes to that, but other than that, they should be working fine.

I have several times over the last couple of years thought about putting it all online again, just never got around to do something about it. But since I had restored my blitz folders the other day to browser through for inspiration, I figured that I might as well get it back online. Its nice to know that someone still appreciates them today :)

Great collection - thanks for putting it online. :updance:
True oldschool flavour.

Circlemaniac 2003 gives me a 404 though!

Nice nostalgia from watching these demos, I like some better than others, they are all nice in their own way though. The Alan demo is pretty cute.

I was quite happy with Wired back when I made it, and yes its still one of the better ones. Those wireframe effects oozes of nostalgia :)

Well I dont know about the wrong files but I suspect it might be difficult to fix some of them as they seem to work on some setups and not others, I guess pixel access on some drivers must have been changed and not allow some of the errors we use to get away with  :(

I am sorting out the wrongly linked files as I find them, but there is probably not much I can do about some demos not working on some hardware. They were made 5-7 years ago, and hardware has changed a lot since.

Ace Zawran that you've put these back up, I remember them fondly, it also shows how you progressed, I will say something too, you & TD are very good at design.

Thanks clyde, most of my early stuff was based to the style that seemed to be common during the 16bit days. I think Zawran tends to do the oldskool vibe better than me tho :)

Some nice things here, I really enjoyed Wired.

I havent looked at all of them yet, the vectorised ones are quite interesting to me too.
