The ULTIMATE demo mod

Knulla Kuk By Moby. Used in the demo Substance by Quartex / Alliance design.
I remember watching this demo and thinking it had everything, excellent vectors, vector scrolls, voxels and the mod was just perfect.
It's still better than 99.99% of all modules out there as far as I'm concerned!

Must confess I've not heard or seen it dude. Next time I'm roaming the Nectarine Archives, I'll be sure to take a listen. And If I can get any joy with WinAue I'll have a butchers at it.
It sure sounds the bees-knees.
Cheers and thanks for the info,
Clyde.

Mental Hangover would not have been the demo it was without Uncle Tom's cool mod. I loved it at the time because it was so chaotic and different but I dunno, I think here are a lot more better sounds out there.
How about the theme music for Turrican? That was pretty special, even though it was a game track.

There is a whole story behind Mental Hangover's mod and why does it sound so chaotic, so harsh at times. I don't remember where I have read the story, it was something like that the musician was expecting for a Coin-Op cabinet that he ordered to arrive (I can't even remember the game, it's controlling a ball, ballblaizer or something? Damn, I can't find..) and it was broken during the transportation. The musician was really mad that he later composed the song in Mental Hangover which uses samples from the coin-op game and was written in an angry chaotic way
If I find the story I'll post it here..

If you ask me what's my favoritest demo MOD, it will be hard to decide.
Maybe the one in the demo Elysium/Sanity.

Here's a great one.
The mod in this intro was by Jesper Kyd I think and it's called "somewhere", one of the best cracktro tunes ever written on the amiga I think.

Oh yeah! You are definitly right!
Its source code is even available here:
http://www.flashtro.com/page.php?id=678
I also enjoy "echoing", a mod used in some intros like this one:
http://www.flashtro.com/page.php?id=676
Now, to be honnest, if we start to mention all great intro tunes, thread might become loooong!

That is a really classic tune. Mods of that era often sounded alike, many of them shared the same samples and they definately had a certain vibe.
Stuff by TTB, Tristar, BS1, Trilogy etc, the cracktro mods all had a certain style back then.

yeah, those modules had a soul. It's not an accident if "many" great cracktros nowadays are still using those old mods.
* druid votes a law to make those old mods mandatory for intros/cracktros

* I second That*
I've been forced to download some really old stuff today and try it on Winaue, I downloaded the Trilogy megademo. When I first saw it a long time ago I remembreed thinking that some of the first parts were not so good, but the music in some of the later parts contained some really nice melodies. Namely the greetings part, Nighttime/Daytime and also the end part was nice too.
If you have the inclination to sit through the first parts of the demo it's quite nostalgic and I wonder what those musicians would have made of todays tracker programs.

My all time favourite module has to
Wasteland
from the amazing animated vector bobs part of RSI MegaDemo - the first Amiga Demo I had.
