ColdWar Chaos
« on: October 03, 2009 »
Please to announce the latest game produced by StudioFortress:

It's essentially a shoot-em-up meets missile command. Destroy all the incoming missiles and protect your fellow citizens, if they all die then you lose. You have multiple turrets to use, multiple types of weapons to pick up and multiple types of enemies to destroy. Includes two modes, a Campaign mode with structured levels and an Arcade mode with a continuous non-stop level that progressively gets harder.

Be careful because your weapons will overheat and the special weapons you pick up only have limited ammo.

I really enjoyed that and I like the way you get around the levels problem of Missile command by parachuting cows! down to earth.

Fun, inspired and has it's own cartoony style, a good blast too.

Watched the video though, nice game. Things look smooth, thought it was flash at first.

Spitfire: The cache for your copy of Java is disabled. If it's disabled then it is unable to use the Java OpenGL libraries.

To enable on Windows:
Code: [Select]
goto Start Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Java
under 'Temporary Internet Files' select 'Settings'
next tick the 'Keep temporary files on my computer' box
click Ok on all dialogs
Play My Code - build games in your browser!

A little bug I found is that when you lose, and then restart a new game - the old power ups are still in place.
