Todays Games

A little rant, as the screenshots look amazing!

I've just bought some games for the PC recently which I haven't done for eons, the last game I bought was World Of Warcraft.

And you know what I am totally disgusted as no effort what so ever, has been made to make them PC friendly and use any peripherals, as they are straight "no effort" ports.no optimizing. I always thought that games were developed on PC's and then ported, so what the beggars going on.

further more, You cannot customize the keys on a few of them, and you need an xbox 360 controller if you find the keys frustrating.

I think it's a shame that in the move to fill the software giants pockets, they can hurry out a quick buck release.

I'm sending them back as really dissappointing.

is there a game you've saved up for and then been let down?

fallout 2 was a work of art, and then fallout 3 was... something else entirely. I didnt play it much so I cant rate its quality but I hate when they make good 2d games 3d.

The closest game to "today" which has disappointed me was Robot Wars on the PS2. I got Twisted Metal Black at the same time. Same sort of game, but Robot Wars was so much worse then Twisted Metal Black in terms of technical limitations and glitches that I got rid of it.

One example is when a wall is in between the camera and your robot or vehicle. In TMB, the wall becomes translucent, so you can still see the action. In RW, all you see is the wall while you get pummelled into it by the other robots you cannot see.

The most recent console I've got is the Wii, but I don't have many games for it, and I'm happy with them.

C&C 4 , epic crap :telloff:

and i was expecting a lot from starcraft but after betatesting it it feels like playing the original but with better gfx , so starcraft is a no go for me and way too expensive for a game ::)
