Why O Why does Adobe reader need so many updates all the time it seams like one a week
surly a pdf reader needing all those updates makes me wonder 
I looked in to and now I use http://www.foxitsoftware.com/products/reader/
OK like most it needs updates but half the size of Adobe's so thanks but no thanks it's time to draw the line.
don't go on about security issues it's a pdf reader for god sake!

Adobe reader is System hog and I would used Foxit reader which is much better!

Yeah, I asked myself that too. There are so many updates of Adobe Reader without noticing any feature change. Although I appreciate every security update (personally I think it is important). Thinking about this, isnt there any checkbox you could check to allow auto-updating, so you do not have to do it manually every time?

Yeah it is kind of annoying..   Where I work, our computers are blocked from downloading updates and exe content from the internet, central IT apply the upgrades but we have to wait for them to do it so we get notifications all the time. Flash player is the main one.

I have taken to turning off the Adobe Updater programs on the computers at work, and updating to a newer version when one is available.

I also switch off the "Adobe Reader Speed Launcher" using CCleaner. I don't want Adobe Reader loaded into memory all the time, just when I'm using it, thank you very much, Adobe.

Nice to know I am not the only one that thinks Adobe Reader sucks Windows uses to many files as it is
(Bring back Workbench 1.3) and Opus!
