Having watched it a few times I don't think that the demo was good enough to come first though, even though I like the tune.

I'm with Shocky on this one. Even at the partyplace, it just didn't have enough oomph, I guess.

I think my major gripe is how much it seems to show off about being software rendered, without showing anything really mindblowing.. But, it wasn't boring at least :)

It's a nice work for sure, but too bad it ran so slow even using a small screen of 640x480 :/

And seems they have converted a cool and smooth 16M colors logo into a 256 color one, just to fit it into 64k size (I guess), attached here an image for comparison with original logo, it's a pity.

after a few run I understand what you mean... some slowdown in the golden age wouldn't let the intro qualify for a prize... great stuff indeed considering it's a software rendered 64k in a world of PS hardware accelerated production instead.
