Hi all
« on: August 28, 2012 »
I'm Adam, been coding for a while in C++ using DirectX 9 with the aim of eventually getting a job as a games programmer. I've put together a nice 2D shoot em up so far with game engine, including state manager and tile engine built from scratch.

Before embarking on a 3D game with skinned meshes and all the rest of I've decided to take a detour, just for fun, in trying to recreate some of the old demo effects from back in the good old Amiga 500 days. I've coded a sine scroller I'm working on some other effects now and joined this forum to gain some helpful advice here and there and maybe, if I can, share some knowledge too.

cheers,
Adam

Hi Adam, welcome to DBF. Sounds like a fun detour to me! Good luck with the demo-coding and I hope you stick around. Looking forward to seeing what you make.
