linux 4k 0.1. by nikin [video available]
« on: January 25, 2013 »
Hello everyone.

So as i told you i am working on a 4k (no i will not call it framework) mess. And i put together a small thing, to see how it behaves if i try to build something with it. It is quite minimalistic.

For the few :) that do not speak hungarian... this is a childrens's song about a colorfull cow, who lacks ears, and tail. And about moving to a place where one can get milk :D

sorry but linux only. It is quite straight SDL, but the sources man... those are one mess. so no release before some cleanup.  :skint:

I still hope someone will be able to watch it anyway :)
what you need: gzip, tail, SDL,

EDIT:
Video is available here:

Youtube video look fantastic. Very well done!

Is the cow software rendered? Did you wrote your own 3D engine for that?

Anyway, very cool style of the demo/intro!

No, it is GL for now. But i do plan to try an SW render aproach, As it gives a better access to the pixel level design. On the other hand i am not sure, that it will be smaller or faster  than the openGL code. :)

Cows in 4k = instant win :) it looks really promising, I like the style of lettering you have used too.
