Emulating COPR?

Has anyone thought of doing partial or complete emulation of the Copper processors? I write 2D games and I am fascinated by late 80s glitz.
Is that an insane idea that could be better accomplished by other means?

i don't see the point? its a low level interface on a particular platform.
if you want it that bad, write for the amiga, emulated
if there's a particular look/feel you are after then you'll have to reproduce it another way?

Because it was very effective at doing certain things. There are probably other ways of getting there now..
