Another 3D vis demo!
« on: Today at 07:20 AM »
Been doing a lot of reading up on how the ST sound chip actually works passing bits around to the various registers and have come up with an exploded board showing the links between them when a tune is being played through the Yamaha YM2149 chip.
Now I have my OSME library that dumps the register data out I've got a working demo. As close as possible to the actual bus processing.   Tone generator, volume ,mixer, noise and envelope generator all working together.
Control are in the .nfo  but here they are anyway.

SPACE  . . . . . . .  take / release the camera
║                        board glow turns BLUE when you have it
║
║    W / S  . . . . . .  move toward / away from the board centre
║    A / D  . . . . . .  orbit left / right
║    R / F  . . . . . .  raise / lower the eye
║
║  LEFT / RIGHT . . . .  trim the passive orbit speed
║  UP / DOWN  . . . . .  next / previous tune
║
║  F1 / F2  . . . . . .  windowed / maximised   (in demo)
║  F3 . . . . . . . . .  toggle signal view:  on-board copper tracks
║                        <-> flying arcs above the board
║  ESC  . . . . . . . .  exit

Posting zip later as Bitdefender keeps bitching about infections!
