JS Intro
« on: November 07, 2006 »
Well, I finally made a JavaScript intro!
Here it is =) (works in IE and FF, but faster in FF)

Intro here!

EDIT: Fixed, will be slow in MSIE though. Simply because MSIE is slow =P

Hmm
What's your connection speed?

It may be having trouble loading all the images..

It keeps loading the pics each time from the website when it needs them by the look of it ...
Rather than storing in temp folder on hd ?????

Just an idea :)

Probably because I used CSS to do the images.. Maybe there's a reason nobody does this sort of thing in JS..

Hi Blitz I have firefox 1.5.0.8 and it runs very slowly here. It takes about 3 seconds for a letter to scroll onto the page. My machine isnt the fastest in thre world (2Gig) but I think somethings wrong. Does it need fast internet connection?

No..
It's the length of my text scroller.. I wondered if that was it.. (It has to set an image for every letter, and HTML and JS aren't really meant for this.)

Sounds like I need a better system next time...

Looks good to me, scroll seems to be drawing too many letters as it runs slow here too, using FF.
Having said that, it's an excellent first intro in JS Nice one Blitz Am!

yup. tested it at home now ... and it is really cool. maybe you should open it
in a smaller popup to reduce the screen-width/height.

Good work !

extreemly slow in IE, Opera and Firefox.  I think you have some cross browser JavaScript problems.  There are constant errors in IE.  Cool idea though!
