[WIREFRAME] Shortwired
« on: May 10, 2011 »
So here's my entry guys. Hope you like it.

If you suffer some framerate issues, I welcome you to the club (PB's drawing commands aren't the fastest it seems if used plenty) and advise you to use [CURSOR UP/DOWN] to play with the scrollspeed, so you'll reach the end of the text before you fall asleep. ;) [ESC] quits in both fullscreen and windowed mode.

Enjoy!

 Pad :)

That's a groovy demo there. The music reminds me of better times with my C64 :'(

I also liked the fluid motion of the background, and the roundness of the sphere - plenty going on in this one.

Could you be a little bit more specific? I haven't spotted anything buggy. Though I doubt that it's a bug anyway, it's probably a feature.  :P

I couldnt see anything wrong with the background grid, but for aome reason in windowed more the scroller is chopped in 2 about 1/3rd the way up from the bottom, fine fullscreen tho.

Nice retro feel

Awesome stuff

Background looks fine on my laptop, the rest of it runs smooth, too!

Cool idea to take the wireframe amiga ball!

Rocks!

Thank you guys!  :)

That's really odd. Works without any problems here. What system are you on? I guess it has to do with the borderless window/dx screen setup.

I'm starting to get the impression that LittleWhite just made a joke regarding the wavey movement or something. It's sometimes hard to tell in written form, even if smilies are used.  ;)

No, there is a "bug". Let's say, a little graphically thing which is not perfect. :p

In fact, when you have the waving move for your grid, the lines are not always perfectly connected to the nodes.
If you look carefully (unfocus the window ;)) some lines will be offsetted with the nodes, and look not connected.

Ok, I am really strict :(

To have some smiley ->  :buddies: :D \ o / :)   ;)  8)

I am on vista 32bit, ati hd4830 card. It looks abit like a tear like you somethimes get with vysnc off in fast paced games, except it's more an offset. Could be PB cant say I have run many things made with it that I know of on this setup, but probably just a random glitch :P

I'd call it finnicky. hehe
But ok, point taken. Though true oldskoolers watch this in full screen or at least have the focus on the window.  ;D

Balls are cool. I mean spheres...

I said "spheres", not "cheers". Oh well.

No bugs here. I'm glad nobody pointed out the bug on mine yet...

Do you mean the way that the line jumps above the sphere?

Oops!

Great little demo!
The colors are nice and the wavy background is quite nice. The sphere is also a solid tribute.
The cubes have a playfulness that is hard to clearly define.

A minor improvement might have been to make the text have the same line width as the 3d objects.
Overall it is solid.
