Challenges & Competitions / Compo suggestion
« on: May 10, 2012 »
xrl had the idea, some time ago, to add the possibility for the users to code effects for the logo.
So it would be something like the sum of ideas of dbf procedural logo and the pouet public logo.
What do you guys think about it?

By the way, I need to translate that: This mtf has only 15 years old. :) Brilliant kiddo, uh?

Microsoft Internet Explorer limits the potential of the world wide web for its commerial interests. Sorry, but this page will not support it. Please download an alternative browser.

So why not write a website thats compatible with all browsers? It aint that hard. Limiting your user base is a bad idea no matter what the reason.

Well, yes, it's ideological. We don't support IE and we will do our best to banish it to the dark realm. :P
The deal is that I'm not limiting the user base, if you want to see the page, you can simply download a new browser. It's not hard to do and it does no harm to anyone.
I'm trying to do my part to have a better Internet. Organizing this party, for me, isn't about money. I want to invite people to know something new. And why not start with a new browser? It's my first invitation. In next editions of the party, I hope I can use the full capability available of the Open Web Technologies and then you would a new world to explore with only few clicks.

Hi Dan,

I think it's really cool that you are organising a party in Brazil and thank you for the invitation for us to enter your challenges!
I've moved this topic to General Discussions as we have our own comp going on at the moment and your topic might get buried.

Good luck with it mate :)

Hey! OK, thanks, Shockwave! :)

I'll be doing something of course  :D

And damn you for choosing a party place ~350 km away from me  ;D

Hey!

I don't know if I'm in the right place or if it's an acceptable thing to do but...
Well, I would like to invite you guys to participate in our compos! :)

Art Engine 2012 is a brazilian demoparty, it's being organized 15 years after Z97. Make part of the history of the South American demoscene too! :)

Hey! I think I have to introduce myself. rbz told me about this forum and it appeared to be a great place for learning more about demo coding. :)

The first time I had the contact with the scene was pretty recent, it was in 2006, through Anarchy's 3D Demo II, I think. :P
My main activity on the demoscene now is on planning a brazilian demoparty, since the last one happened more than 10 years ago (OverSeas'99). I've been trying to get demomakers and scene enthusiasts together and things are going just fine.
