I remember this page, interesting. I am curious how all these road renders where happening for oldschool 8bit, this is much harder in one aspect to have at good frame rate than regular hw scrolling and sprites. I would like to know how you can make a fast one on Amstrad CPC. It's too much (and most CPC racing also had big sprites, lamp posts, trees or other objects out of the road. I am wondering how they still managed it.

 Very complete thorough article. Even sports pseudo code.
 Always interested in the "cheapest" methods to achieve visual effects.
