New Years Frolicks & Resolutions.
« on: January 09, 2007 »
I know this has been said alot, but Im going to say it again anyhows. Happy New Years, and hope everyones recovered from the festivities and frolicks.

Have any of you made any New Years resolutions ( I know we a majority of the time never stick to them for very long, hehehehe ), or is there something you hope to accomplish this year?

My main one is to cut down my time on the internet, and start going to the gym. Accompanied very closely by finishing off some demos, that I meant to complete from last year. As well as doing some special DBF-GVY member only, bitmap fonts - I know I promised to make some middle of '06, but as I've found I've been doing even more coding then graphics, I will have to have a butchers at my trusty art proggie and do some designing.

Here's to everyone,
Cheers :

I haven't made any resolutions so I can't break them :) Going to the Gym, would that be a good idea with your back problems? Good luck with it anyway and yip, those fonts will be cool!

I want to find somewhere permanent to live instead of renting and to get a job I really enjoy doing and to sort out my finances.  Not resolutions, but come the end of the year if I'm not closer to those goals I'll be fed up.
And I want another sports car.

@Shockwave: Thanks dude. It was recommended by a pain specialist to do light exercises on which the gym can do a programme for me, so that it doesnt go stiff as a board. The price might be scary though.

@Jim: What car you thinking of dude & are they any cheaper than Blighty?

I want another GTO, or other Japanese turbo like an RX7.  But the insurance company have said forget it.  Because of where I live I need a garage, they won't insure it on the street for less than face value of the car.  Virtually noone here has a garage.  Maybe if I move.  But then I won't have the money for the car.  grr.  So I'm stuck with my early 90s Mitsubishi Lancer 1.5.  Anything that isn't a Ford, Holden (Vauxhall) or locally made Japanese car, like a Corolla is really expensive, even second hand.  I go green with envy when I come to the UK and see 10yo Jaguar XKs for under 10grand.  I'd kill for one of those over here, but they're about 40grand that age.

Next time you're over, buy two, get em shipped over and sell one.

Mines not really a resolution but more of a get your lazy ass in gear.... I'm really shit at getting up in the morning, so since we got back to work after the holidays i've forced myself out of bed early and got my sorry carcass in a reasonable shape to present to society, rather than getting up 10 mins before i'm supposed to leave the house and getting ready very quickly, and then leaving in a rather unpresentable state... I've also got myself an interview for a new job on friday..... So, so far things are looking good.... Please don't ask me how i'm doing in a month or so, i'll probably be getting up 5 mins before i'm supposed to leave, and it'll start all over again.....
