FreeBASIC GFX Demo archives.
« on: May 24, 2006 »
Here's a real cool and nice too see site by Adigun Azikiwe Polack. Which not only hosts all the gfx demo / special effects ever made for FreeBASIC and QB, it also offers from time to time GFX demo competitions.

http://dhost.hopto.org/aapproj/fbgfx/

Cheers and hope you find it a source of inspiration,
Cheers Clyde.

To me the content is great, but seriously this site deserves a cult following more because of Adiguns Azikiwe Polack's amazingly positive comments. Sometimes I will just visit this site to have a read of some of his comments when I need cheering up.. I've never come across a site which has a narrative quite like it. It's strangely refreshing, positive to the extreme and even though he gets the group names all wrong and most of the stuff on there is technically effects and not demos it's a cracking site :)

Absolutely  ;D I wonder what he does for a living. I bet he does sales conferences or something like that. You could imagine him extolling the benefits of a positive lifestyle.

You know, guys, I am very glad all of you noticed this because I am in the dead-serious process of adding A LOT of brand-new FB demos that I have sadly missed a chance on adding/updating from during this past summer (due to the main fact that I had to work on the compo version of Dragon Dancer for one of the Shmup-dev contests).  And you know, I am planning now on getting the FreeBASIC GFX Demo Central updated within 7 days or less from now, so be patient.  It’ll be well worth the wait, believe me!!!  d=;)=b !

I got a clue for you, Clyde and Shockwave: many of your newer DBF-GVY demos created in FB will be added to my demoscene abode, too.  :D

And thank you, everyone, for your awesome comments regarding my archives and even my site.  That just makes my day, you know?  :cheers:

Okay folks, here is where I am so far on building the massive update up.

I am halfway through already, adding a lot of new demos as I go (plus the ones that I did not get a chance to add this past summer!).  However, this is taking a LOT longer so far than I first thought, but I will get there, in a matter of days.  ;)

Be patient, ladies and gentlemen, because the update of the FreeBASIC GFX Demo Central on my site WILL be quite worth the wait as we go into the first week of October 2006.  You will not be disappointed, I promise.  ;D=b !

The update is almost done.  8)

Now all I gotta do is to get the current update of the Space Impakto demo up for updating, get a new graphic ready for the opening page of my FreeBASIC GFX Demo Central, and get ready the whole list of updates and new stuff that I have added in the developing of this update I am working on, and then.......

  Â  Â  Â SHOWTIME!!!  :||

I just want to let you all know that tonight, and I will do my very damn best to get the update up before this weekend arrives.  ;)=b

And I am dead serious this time, as such an intense blessing to people like you wonderful FB demosceners.  I mean it!!  :D !
