But is this idea any good?

Here's the concept.. I imagined having a huge wheel of photographic frames of some kind of object rotating and displaying part of that wheel in the screen, while I did this I wanted to spin the wheel very quickly so that the frames animated and also I wanted to be able to alter the speed of the rotation sometimes to throw it out of sync and it recover.

I did this and I have added some spotlights over the top too.

This contains very fast moving flashing imagary, if you have epilepsy, please do not watch this.

This might get developed into an intro..

Thats really cool, the shading on the cubes look kinda strange, but maybe it's supposed to look lite that. The lights are a very nice addition.

Thank you, yep the shading is meant to look unusual. I intend the final version to look a lot more unusual (but with better colours).

I tried it out, but for me it's not moving right, at least, by your descriptions. The frame is just rotating left slowly at 2seconds for each slide to move off the side. Then, every now and then the whole thing will rush madly in the other direction (and you're right, that's where it really hurts your eyes

). Is that what's supposed to happen?

Also as mentioned, it was very odd to see the cubes broken down into 4 triangles per side and lit with those normals. let me guess the "inner" point has a normal face normal and the two outer points have different normals that the inner point? Anyway looks cool.

Normals are not used at all with the lighting

There's all sorts of trickery and fuckery going on in this code.

D!c4b (the artist working on this with me and Ampli) had suggested some improvements and he changed the colour palette.

See what you think, this version is a lot more comlete than the first one I posted.

Yes, there will be a scroller Benny, but I don't know where I will put it!

It will probably be a big 3D vector circle twist.
