I am so happy that I have coded a demo running in a lovely handheld console  ^-^

Here is the PC port.

p.s. If anyone has a GP32 he can also look at the prod link at Pouet to get the GP32 demo and maybe other incoming ports too (GP2X, Linux). The GP32 runs very slow on emulator (without sound) and crashes at 35%

Amazing stuff Optimus, I like the changes to the shading of the face and the water effect and everything else.

Really cool stuff Optimus, I liked the part with the spikeball type object raking the water the best out of the demo. Generally steady stuff, good looking and smooth all the way. Top bombing!

I think that the best comment so far about this was from Navis / ASD on Pouet and it sums this up perfectly, also the positive comments show how well liked an oldschool style demo can be if it's done well.

After looking at this again, I am surprised at the starfield, I thought that you were going for a Metaball starfield?!?
I'm sad that you didn't in a way because I've coded one for the next dbf intro and I was wondering how they'd compare! I guess I'll never know now unless you post it somewhere  :P

Well, I think my starfield really displays zooming blobs that do additive blend with each other (not true metaballs but maybe there is not much diferrence visually). It's just not noticable. I use the same zooming and additive blended blob code I used in my 2d blob starfield example. Maybe that gets not very impressive and the stars seem like simple zooming sprites, though making the blobs bigger or more would slow down the GP32. But in my definition I think the starfield is rendering blobs. It would be nice to make a more impressive version with bigger noticable blobs on PC or GP2X maybe..

Really great Optimus - I admire your staying power to do this (1 year?)
Don't stop.
I can wait another year for another demo like this.
