Christmas lists
« on: December 11, 2009 »
What are you guys all hoping for this Christmas?

I feel that I have everything I need so there's nothing on my Christmas list. I just want my family and friends to have a great time this year. It would be cool to know what you are all hoping for though, it might give me some ideas :)

My list isn't very big but so far i have:
  • Effective C++(for my course)
  • Left 4 dead 2(for keeping me sane during my course)

also I'm hoping to get enough money to get my monitor fixed because at the moment I'm stuck on my laptop and it has some seriouse personality problems (It crashes on every other startup)
"if debugging is the proccess of removing bugs from software then that means that programming must be the proccess of putting them in" my favourite programming quote.

I'm getting a new wallet, cause mine is currently held together with cardboard, staples and electrical tape. Also prayers.
I love semi-colons way too much ^^;

I don't really have anything on my list. Seeing the grandkids will be enough.

I have not made any list this year. There really isn't something that I really need, so what ever I get, I'll be happy with. This year I have taken some vacation days, so I will be off work from the 19th December until the 4th of January. That is my gift to myself this year :)

I'd like some new work trousers, and either of the following DVDs - Star Trek (the 2009 film), Terminator Salivation or Transformers 2.

I can tell from the lists that we are all getting old :) Hehe, I remember proudly handing my dad my lst for Santa claus many moons ago and watching the colour drain from his face.

Looking above, a new wallet gives me an idea.. Not that I need one, just a gift for someone else.. Thanks Slinks.

I'd like a patch that lets me play Simcity deluxe on Windows 7..

If you have the right CPU and the right version of Windows 7, there's a pack to download from Microsoft that will let you install XP and other OSs under VMs.  I've seen it at work, it's rather good, even though the apps are running under VM you can't tell, they just look like ordinary Windows apps running in Windows windows.

What I mean is, I'd love a novel by Vernor Vinge or Charles Stross or Ken McLeod, some T-shirts with 1970s kids characters on and some grog.

I'd love for that too, after all we all have one goal in life no matter what colour or creed and that's to survive on this planet, that man is so insistant on destroying.

Another thing on my list is some dvd rw's so I can back up my Hard Drive. :D

A load of money or some whiskey. And a copy of the X Factor single, of course. Classy tune.
Fuck L. Ron Hubbard and fuck all his clones.
