Today i visited and phoned with some "known" computershops about, how the EFI BIOS can accept my HDD as EFI HDI and how Windows7 can feature of this.
I was really amazed that nearly nobody knows what EFI brings... Most ppl just think and say its a normals BIOS with just a new GUI with mouse support and nothing more! So what?
What about all the infos about EFI and that its brings ofcourse a new GUI with mouse support but the most important thing, OS (like Apple, WIndows7) dont need to load drivers for GfxCard and so, becuase EFI is loading this in a special way and this is why booting can speed up extreme.
Only one PC seller had a very smart technical support guy, who knows all about EFI and he told me i have probaly to update the HDD firmware to enable EFI support from BIOS. If there is no firmwware for the HDD; there is another way to do this but its a long and complicated way he cant explain on the phone. However, only one guy was able to help a bit and know the real thing (just all) about EFI, where all the others completely failed!
For me the problem still exist... ^^
