I'm looking to start working on some procedural object generation and I'm not sure where to start. I'd like to be able to generate 3D objects such as donuts, torus knots etc on the fly. People seem to recommend Paul Bourke's site as a good resource, but I can only see formulas there. I was hoping for something a little easier for a beginner to digest in order to understand the basics of what's involved in such a process.
If anyone can offer any tips or point me in the direction of some suitable reading material, I'd be very grateful.
