Flying swarming robots!

As exciting as I think these things are, it really sucks that their first appliance will probably be military...

All your devices can be hacked

Some amazing hacks in there, the bit at the end using the iphones Accelerometer is pretty incredible.

How Googles self driving car works

It's interesting that traffic would be a lot safer with todays autonomous driving systems already, but until the accident rate is down to absolute 0% no company is likely to bring it to market. The 0.001% that does experience a car accident caused by some AI is right to sue.

Looks very interesting Kirl. It's a bit of a hefty read, so I'll save it for bed tonight :)

I would certainly love one. I can't park a car properly to save my life! haha

This is pretty interesting stuff.. I was reading a book about how the power of the crowd drives the worlds stock markets and my searching for links led me off on an interesting tangent..

That Google can predict the future of stock markets, disease epidemics etc, just because they know what everyone is searching for..

http://www.youtube.com/user/scishow

I'm a huge sucker for documentaries and sciency shows...I've been watching way too much of these little videos lately. Its a science show aimed mostly at teenagers, kind of like what Bill Nye The Science Guy used to do. The guy is a very good communicator and is entertaining to watch.  There are a few playlist categories which are all equally interesting.

I wonder how many red dots I get coming here?  :)

Does not work with Chrome unfortunately, use Firefox instead

Btw, for those who are interested in how this FX is done, they are using voronoi for matching - here the FX is explained:
