Christmas Competition 2013

Yeah, it's Santa's time again!

In pure DBF tradition, here's our Christmas Compo!

There's tons of this stuff out there to be inspired by.

So, time to get inspired and start making your entry, and have fun!

Note: If you are too old to code (

), get your kids and make a video of your xmas tree,
you can add a scroller effect with just paper and pen, be creative!

Here are the rules!

Your Demo must be associated with some element of Christmas.
You can use any platform that is compatible with windows XP+Win7.
You may write something for web browsers as long as it works in IE9, Chrome or FF (on current stable version).
Wild (Video / Animated) entries are allowed.
Procedural graphics entries are allowed as long as it is one single file <16kb no animations allowed, file must not permanently write on hard drive.
The following emulators are welcome: Vice, Winuae, Saint, PS2 Yabasic
Please give credit if you use ripped sound/gfx, or even better credit the original artist.
Please write something new for the challenge, no previously released stuff.
Do not use ripped routines. (dlls, libs, fmod, sdl, frameworks etc are fine but say what you used please!).
One entry per person maximum.
Entries to be posted in this forum please with the title [XMAS_2013] entry name
Entries may be posted between NOW and Midnight of [25th December 2013]
The winner [S?] will be decided by a poll of forum users
If 1st place is tied there will be a vote-off to decide the winner.
Late entries will not be counted for voting.
Please PM any correspondance regarding rules to me, don't discuss them here such posts will be removed and not answered.
Please include a screenshot of your entry in your post.
Please only post finished work, if you update your entry the final one will be voted on.
After the submission deadline You may NOT post ANY further attachments to final or other versions of your entry ANYWHERE on this forum until voting has closed.
You may post a video of the entry along with the binaries (useful if you use shaders etc).
The prizes will be in form of Santa's good "Karma"

I hope everybody is being extra good this year because things are extra tight at the North Pole this year and the IMF are forcing the big man to recheck his list a third and fourth time to identify extra savings.

I'll have to come up with some ideas. Wireframe Snowflakes seem to be the only things that come to mind, but I'll try harder.

Don't know if I will be able to do something about this. There are other things pending (like my CPC part for 30 years megademo, end of the year deadline, but I don't want to code this after xmas) and not enough time and mood.

Though, I just remembered an effect idea I wanted to try since last xmas compos, maybe maybe.

awesome stuff guys!

ive been working on something a bit different the last few nights.

i want too expand my lcd project i done a few months ago for this so ive glued 3x3(8x8 leds) led matrixes together to make a large screen. ive ordered loads of max led driver chips/wires and capacitors to drive everything.

so basically i want too run my christmas demo on my own aurdino microcontroller hardware and upload via youtube when im done is this ok/permisable i will obviously post all the source code for the project as well.

I have an idea, so hopefully I'll get it sorted in plenty of time. There seems to be a lot of interest in the compo, so should turn out to be good one!

To verify this has to run on Windows right? If I make a Mac demo , that won't be accepted however I can record and submit the recording ?
