Breakpoint 2009
« on: October 21, 2008 »
Who's going?

Rc55 asked me if I was going yesterday, it looks like there will be several people travelling over together from the UK again this year.

Last year I watched the competitions on the live feed on DTV, it really made me wat to be there!

Logistically its probably a no show from me again this time but who knows... Maybe Mel will be desperate enough to get me out of the house for a while to let me go to Germany.

I have several good friends there who I would like to meet, including quite a few of the guys on here who probably cant get to the UK for Sundown.

Sounds very inviting as i have seen previous stuff also on Demo TV, and have never been to a scene party ever. Some of the guys from Gravity might be going ( Saga & Ko0x ), as they are German locals.

Sadly for me, I doubtl I'll be in attendance, main reason I don't have a passport ( they cost a ridiculous price now £50.00, and on benefits its a struggle ). But I dont know if they allow for out of event entries; obviously it's not quite the same atmosphere being at a live event from sitting in a bedroom.

Would be neat,
Clyde

I've never been to the united kingdom, but for visiting eu-countries a valid id card was always enough.
If you ever wanted to visit a *real* demo party, breakpoint is a *must*.

Im glad that everything is under control. shame about Nvidia pulling out this year.

I know that Saga^GVY is going.

Sadly we were planning to enter an intro made with Freebasic, but all thats available for pc is 4k Intro, 64k Intro, and PC Demo. With the 4 and 64 k's I would expect people to be wanting a traditional assembler prod, so I dont want to go into that area.

Who else has booked and ready to go this Easter Weekend?

Hehe I am wondering how many of them will actually run on my computer this year... There's always video capture I suppose.

It will be great to see some of you people at BP. I have already bought my tickets and so if nothing goes wrong I will be there for sure. I am wondering if I have met someone of the regulars on these forums at an older demoparty years ago or it will be the first time to meet you..

Nice that you're going to be there Optimus. :)

Maybe you can get to Sundown in the UK too?

Hellos live from BP!

Sundown would be nice. There is a possibility I go to England for studies in Autumn. At least if my financial situation permits me to do so. Then maybe I could come (but I don't know this September, might be too early).

Thanks for the party greetings mate :)

Congratulations on your 4kb too, I'd love to be there with you. Who knows, maybe September will be possible for you and finally I can get you a beer after these last few years.

Saga ranked second in the tracked music category, which is cool.
