Ladies and gentlemen, after a short absence from these forums, I am back!!  Let’s do this!  :||

Right now, I will be happy to show you my brand-new original project that I talked to you from during last month, and I will let you know right now the title of my project is called Dragon Dancerd=:D=b !

Also, the official Dragon Dancer pages are up just now (where there is a download of the game demo available!  ;) ), and you can visit them beginning at http://dhost.hopto.org/aapproj/, ok?  Also, since this game is currently a work-in-progress, I will DEFINITELY continue on it to make it even better than ever, too!!

See you there, and do not miss this promising new FB shooter from me!!!  ;D

Well done Adigun, that really has a genuine arcade feel to it. It felt like I was back in my childhood waiting for the local shop to open and then watching the machine go through it's system checks before the game loaded!

Tate mode is a novel idea. The controls seemed wierd so I guess turn the monitor on it's side?

If you were looking to create the feel of an authentic Japanese shoot 'em up I think you can safely say that you've succeeded.
Good luck in the comp.

Tindragon, I reccomend reading the readme file before you play it, I just found it and I've realised that this game does other stuff like using the dragons tail as a weapon.
It's good stuff, the screen gets very busy sometimes :)

That is awesome, really has that arcade shooter feel to it with so much going on it's mad :)

I also like the titlescreen startup, like firing up a real arcade cabinet or for fans of MAME, like running a rom image. Truely adds to the arcade like feel and is very very impressive in it's own right. Well done and look forward to seeing more. Might have to dust off my IDE's and have a bash at a new game myself  ;D

Thanks so very much, Shockwave and TinDragon!!!  ;)

Also, I thought it was quite a practical novelty myself for Dragon Dancer to be made like a full-blown arcade machine, which is something I think that FB arcade-based games really need these days, you know?  :D

As well, there are some demonstration videos of this game that I have made recently, and they are found on my game videos page on YouTube.  So far, I have done five (5) demo videos of it already, with even more to come!!  8)

A M A Z I N G

I really can't believe the ammount of sprites this one pushes. And that's freebasic! The Mode7 sequence was quite impressive at the end (I was normally expecting to let it running more so that I can admire it and it's great texture!). Wow, wow, wow..

Hello guys
Can't seem to download this - has anybody else had problems?
The screenshots look so amazing - I've just gotta see this baby running!

Alright now.  I am FINALLY back in action after I have been disconnected from the internet beyond my control for more than three (3) weeks time!  Wow, man!  ;)

During my long absence, I have continued working on the Dragon Dancer project to make it even better, and here is what I have got now so far!!!

_______________________________________________________________________________
Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 12:51am
Fixed the exact pixel spacings for the upright mode to make sure the 272x384 game graphics viewport is as *absolutely* faithful as TATE mode while rotated to Upright mode to fit into a 512x384 graphics mode.

Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 5:50pm
Added full gamepad support (including some precise sensitivity for an analogue gamepad as well!!  :D ! ).

Sunday, August 20, 2006 at 10:39pm
Successfully added the bullet-to-hitbox collision and implemented the explosion for the player’s dragon for when it takes a direct hit and goes down for the count!

Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 11:48pm
Implemented the arcade-style continue screen.

Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 5:37pm
Implemented the experience point bonus system for every enemy destroyed using the tail of your dragon.  ;D=b !!

Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 6:44pm
Implemented the all-new bomber for the Forest Dragon successfully!!

_______________________________________________________________________________

And, I plan on working on the full 7 initial areas, with a VERY special 2nd loop available if you are *really* good!!!  ;)  I’m a make Dragon Dancer something a lot more special than ever, I promise.

See you again, and it is so good to be back!!!

How the hell have you managed to get that many sprites running so smoothly - no don't tell me my head would hurt.
That is looking absolutely fantastic - good luck on finishing it.

Looking forward to playing!!!

Good to see things are racing ahead, even after such a long unscheduled absence :) Well done Adigun, I am really looking forward to playing the finished game and re-living some very happy childhool memories of time mis-spent down the amusement arcade!! :)
